Kunder, a Santiago de Chile software development firm focused on tailored solutions for financial institutions, faced rapid growth that outstripped its project planning and visibility. Without a reliable view of team capacity—information held mainly by COO Luis Hernán—commercial teams couldn’t give start dates, and developers’ free schedules often let small tasks take far longer than budgeted, causing delays and confusion.
To address this, Kunder implemented Paymo in 2014, using Team Scheduling, Full Task Details and Time Tracking plus custom API integrations to generate velocity, attendance and delivery metrics. Paymo gave operations the visibility to produce accurate estimates, allocate the right mix of front-/back-end staff, and improve developer efficiency; project managers went from handling about 2 projects to 3–4 concurrently, helping Kunder scale to 50 employees and prepare for further expansion.
