Wood Stone Corporation, a Bellingham, WA manufacturer of stone-hearth and commercial cooking equipment with about 89 employees, struggled with disjointed HR processes—physical punch cards, manual spreadsheets, no centralized communication, and limited reporting. In November 2019 they chose Paylocity to modernize HR and payroll, adopting Paylocity’s time and attendance (mobile clock‑in/out), Community, Data Insights, payroll and 401(k) automation.
Paylocity implemented remote clock‑in/out, a company-wide Community hub, Data Insights reporting, and automated 401(k) processes, centralizing communication and streamlining approvals. The changes saved Wood Stone more than 2,000 hours annually (including over 1,000 hours from time tracking and roughly 1,000 from Community, plus ~100 hours from 401(k) automation), eliminated 401(k) errors, sped reporting, and improved employee engagement and data integrity with Paylocity.
