Logistics Company Delivers a Single Platform for Connected HR

General Logistics Systems (GLS), a US logistics carrier with 1,500 employees across 50 locations, inherited a fragmented HR landscape after multiple acquisitions—three separate HR/payroll systems, paper-based onboarding, slow payroll cycles and manual timekeeping that delayed hires and created compliance risk. To standardize and modernize HR, General Logistics Systems selected Paylocity’s centralized cloud HR platform.

Paylocity implemented a single integrated solution—including Recruiting, Onboarding, Payroll, Time & Attendance, the Paylocity Mobile App, Community and Insights (with integrations such as Checkr)—to replace the three legacy systems. The move delivered measurable gains: payroll is now five times faster (one day to process pay for 1,500 employees), two payroll departments were consolidated saving the equivalent of 4 FTEs, onboarding time fell by about 2 hours with new hires ready in 15 minutes, job posting is 3–4x faster, and paper-based workflows were largely eliminated.
