Crafton Tull, a 300‑employee engineering and construction firm with 10 offices across Arkansas and Oklahoma, was losing employee trust and struggling to compete for talent after regional firms drove up compensation; outdated, heavily customized HR systems and manual processes left the HR team buried in transactional work and without reliable market-pay data. To modernize HR and benchmark pay, Crafton Tull turned to Paylocity and its HR platform, including Market Pay, Benefits Administration, Recruiting, Employee Self Service and Insights & Recommendations.

Paylocity automated payroll and benefits integrations, introduced Market Pay benchmarking, and streamlined recruiting, onboarding and employee self-service. The changes saved the equivalent of 1 FTE on payroll, cut payroll processing to about an hour to check and three minutes to run, allowed job postings in five minutes, achieved 75% of open enrollment in one week, and reduced data‑entry errors to almost zero—restoring employee trust and shifting HR into a strategic role.
