A PayIt Case Study
The State of Kansas wanted to create a single, government-agnostic digital experience for residents interacting with city, county, and state services, but the scope and cost of building it in-house were too large. To move beyond disconnected systems and manual processes, Kansas partnered with PayIt to launch iKan, a cross-agency digital government platform.
PayIt implemented iKan as a native GovCloud solution with web, mobile web, and Apple and Android apps, enabling Kansans to renew licenses and registrations, order vital records, pay property taxes, and store documents in a secure digital wallet. The result was 92% year-over-year growth in online revenue collected in Q4 2020, more than 880,000 citizen accounts created, and over $425 million in total online revenue collected since launch.
