The City of St. Louis worked with PayIt to modernize its citizen payment experience after struggling with a desktop-only system that required manual payment entry, had no mobile channel, and made it difficult to combine services like property tax and water/refuse payments into one scalable platform.

PayIt launched payitSt.Louis, a secure, all-in-one digital service available on web, mobile web, and native apps, with a citizen wallet, alerts, recurring payments, and support for taxes, utilities, court payments, ACH, and IVR. The city also moved the platform to AWS GovCloud, and the results included a 98% year-over-year increase in online revenue, more than 140,000 citizen accounts created, and $150 million in total online revenue collected since launch.
