The Great Miami Valley YMCA is a 127-year-old association serving nearly 50,000 people through eight locations in Southwest Ohio, with 700–900 seasonal staff in summer. Managing hiring, time tracking and payroll with just one full-time and one part-time HR person became overwhelming, and inconsistent service from their prior provider left them without a trusted support contact.
In 2014 the Y moved to Paycor for applicant tracking, onboarding, time & attendance and payroll, gaining a centralized system, strong implementation and staff training that created internal “Paycor champions.” Paycor’s dedicated specialist and employee self-service reduced managers’ administrative work, simplified scheduling and payroll processing, improved accuracy and reporting for budgeting, and gave supervisors more time to focus on serving the community.
