A Paycor Case Study
The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, a popular minor-league baseball franchise with 30 full-time staff and nearly 200 part-time employees on gamedays, struggled to manage a large seasonal workforce. Managers relied on spreadsheets and a remote HR person to enter hours, the old time-and-attendance system lacked reporting and daily hours/tip tracking, and long lines at a single time clock made accurate payroll processing difficult.
The club implemented Paycor’s Perform Time — a web-based clock-in/out and timecard platform that lets managers edit cards, monitor hours and potential overtime, and run better reports. As a result, payroll was brought in-house, managers gained visibility and accountability over department hours, time-and-attendance errors were reduced, and the team can now focus more on creating a great fan experience.
