Paycor, a workforce technology company, faced the challenge of maintaining connection and culture across its Virtual First, largely remote workforce. With recognition known to drive engagement, Paycor aimed to boost morale, reinforce core values, and make appreciation a regular part of employee experience.
Paycor deployed its own Recognition Tool in a two-month "Spreading Cheer" campaign—November focused on community giving and December on peer recognition—encouraging up to three recognitions per day and offering daily prize drawings. The campaign sparked a surge in activity (4,612 recognitions in 10 days of December versus 1,917 in November and 1,657 in October), drove higher engagement on internal channels, and left employees feeling more connected and appreciated.
