Ruby Receptionists, a Portland-based virtual receptionist company serving small businesses across North America, faced the challenge of scaling performance management for its 500+ team amid rapid growth. After a year-long evaluation they implemented 7Geese in January 2018 to improve goal transparency, continuous feedback and consistent 1-on-1s, but initially needed help translating existing habits into a repeatable OKR-driven process.
With dedicated training, on-site workshops and ongoing HR support from 7Geese, Ruby shifted from ad-hoc check-ins to standardized OKRs and coaching conversations. The rollout drove a 98% adoption rate in the receptionist center, greater transparency and employee-driven feedback, and allowed HR leaders to focus on strategic priorities like identifying skill gaps and using data to improve performance.
