A Paxton Access Case Study
John Roan School, a secondary comprehensive school in Greenwich, UK, required an improved access control solution to prevent students from sharing access tokens and PINs for restricted areas. The school worked with vendor Paxton Access and their installer, Ideal Security, to integrate their existing Net2 system with new requirements for more advanced security and biometric identification.
The solution involved integrating Paxton's Net2 software with BioConnect’s identity management platform and Suprema BioLite Net readers. This provided multi-factor authentication using PIN, fingerprint, and token, which eliminated credential sharing. The implementation was highly successful, seamlessly managing access for over 1,600 students and 300 staff across 31 doors with minimal disruption. The school administrators praised the Paxton Net2 system for its simplicity and flexibility.
