Internal Service Providing Company, an internal services team for a major international corporation, needed a faster way to support Containers-as-a-Service as application demand grew. Traditional rack-scale designs with server-side NVMe SSDs delivered strong performance, but they limited agility, made it hard to “try” modern databases, and drove up SSD and infrastructure costs. Pavilion Data Systems provided the storage foundation for this shift.

Pavilion Data Systems implemented the Pavilion HyperParallel Data Platform, moving the environment from DAS to a shared, high-speed NVMe-oF storage platform with thin provisioning. The result was a 50% reduction in time-to-deployment for new applications, identical performance to the NVMe SSD configuration, 66% lower power and cooling, half the rack space, and a 3x reduction in storage management TCO. Pavilion Data Systems also enabled linear scalability and helped the customer move toward its Infrastructure 3.0 goals.
