Pridecare, a home healthcare agency with about 50 infusion and registered nurses operating across four locations, needed an easy HIPAA-compliant way to send PHI while staff were traveling. Their previous portal-based Microsoft encryption forced recipients to create accounts and remember passwords, creating friction and compliance risk, so Pridecare engaged Paubox and adopted Paubox Email Suite (later upgraded to Paubox Email Suite Plus).

Paubox implemented an automatic, background encryption solution (TLS 1.3, HITRUST CSF) plus inbound protections like ExecProtect and Zero Trust Email, with integration taking only minutes. Since November 2020 Paubox has encrypted nearly 9,100 emails from 43 addresses, and after Pridecare upgraded to Paubox Email Suite Plus it has blocked 393 spam messages, 13 viruses, and 4 phishing attacks—lowering risk, improving clinician communication, and reducing IT overhead.
