Scholars App, an education-focused platform that simplifies scholarship applications and eases the burden on selection committees, needed to protect sensitive student and applicant data while collaborating with organizations that require HIPAA‑compliant email. To meet this challenge, Scholars App turned to Paubox and implemented Paubox Email Suite Plus to secure all email communications by default.

Paubox delivered seamless, end‑to‑end encryption (256‑bit AES, TLS) and a portal‑free experience so staff could send encrypted email like normal mail without plugins or extra steps. As a result, Paubox encrypted over 25,000 emails from four Scholars App staff in the past 12 months, blocked 287 virus emails and 36 phishing attempts, and enabled Scholars App to work with more security‑conscious partners while providing peace of mind about email security.
