UC Davis GROWell Case Study Digital Intervention & Virtual Trial

UC Davis Health partnered with Pattern Health to support GROWell, a study led by Dr. Leigh Ann Simmons to evaluate whether a mobile health program could help women maintain healthy pregnancies and return to pre-pregnancy health after childbirth. The challenge was that the team needed both a mobile app to deliver the intervention and collect data, and a fully virtual clinical trial platform, all within a reasonable budget and timeline.

Pattern Health provided a no-code platform that powered both the GROWell intervention and the virtual trial, including recruitment, screening, e-consent, enrollment, participant messaging, surveys, and Bluetooth biometric data collection. The solution created a seamless participant experience and centralized study data with real-time reporting and exports; while the case study does not cite clinical outcomes yet, it highlights that Pattern Health enabled UC Davis Health to launch a scalable, compliant, end-to-end digital study infrastructure.
