Revolution Fibres - Customer Case Study

Revolution Fibres, a New Zealand–based nanofibre manufacturer using electrospinning to produce custom fibres for markets such as filtration, cosmetics and composites, needed a better way to prioritise projects and spot commercially viable opportunities in a crowded IP landscape. To do this they adopted PatSnap’s IP analytics tool to quickly assess novelty, freedom to operate and where “green space” existed for their technologies.

Using PatSnap, Revolution Fibres implemented targeted patent and project-selection strategies: the platform highlighted unique opportunities in international markets, guided decisions on what to protect, and helped avoid pursuing ideas that lacked IP merit. As a result, PatSnap enabled the company to identify new international opportunities where they will be filing patents, sharpen their commercial focus, and improve how they pick projects with the best market potential.
