A leading statin brand sought to increase its impact at the point of care, aiming to reach patients with high cholesterol in physician waiting rooms and direct them to an unbranded educational website. Having already used PatientPoint® Communicate™ on digital screens, the brand's challenge was to further extend its reach by also engaging patients who were using their mobile devices while waiting for appointments.
PatientPoint implemented a solution by adding its PatientPoint® Proximity™ mobile engagement to the campaign. This allowed the brand to serve ads to patients using apps on their phones in 651 waiting rooms, which directed them to the educational site upon clicking. The results were significant, with PatientPoint delivering 858,000 impressions and 7,431 clicks, achieving a 0.9% click-through rate that far exceeded the industry average. A study also found that users were 48% more likely to click on a mobile ad after first seeing a message on a digital screen.
