University Of Nebraska Streamlines PeopleSoft Authentication While Utilizing Multiple Identity Providers

The University of Nebraska needed to simplify access to its student information system across eight campuses while preserving each campus’s existing identity infrastructure. With two PeopleSoft instances, eight separate IdPs, and a homegrown two-factor authentication solution that lacked flexibility and scalability, the university faced fragmented and inconsistent authentication for students, faculty, and staff.

Pathlock implemented a PeopleSoft-native SAML single sign-on solution that let all eight PIAs stay in place while each campus kept its preferred IdP, enabling centralized SSO without additional infrastructure. The rollout went live in just six months, delivering a scalable and flexible authentication experience, reducing login fatigue, and strengthening security; the University of Nebraska also credited Pathlock’s support team with strong partnership and ongoing product updates.
