San Joaquin County Improves PeopleSoft Security To Provide Mobile Access

San Joaquin County, a public sector organization in California, wanted to extend PeopleSoft self-service access to employees outside the corporate network via mobile devices and home computers. To do so securely, the County turned to Pathlock and its Native for PeopleSoft solution, since PeopleSoft’s built-in security controls were too static to safely support internet-facing access to sensitive data.

Pathlock implemented field-level MFA with Duo, dynamic masking for sensitive information, SAML-based single sign-on, least-privilege access for high-risk users, and detailed user activity logging. As a result, San Joaquin County was able to deliver secure self-service transactions on any device without additional hardware or custom development, while improving remote-access security, simplifying authentication, and reducing risk around sensitive records and privileged accounts.
