How To Increase Engagement with your Event App Year-onYear

Forté Foundation, the non-profit behind the Forté MBA Women’s Leadership Conference, faced an outdated, hard-to-update event experience (static printed booklets, a public website, no mobile capabilities) and needed a scalable, easy-to-administer tool that enabled private networking, meeting scheduling and QR-based lead capture for sponsors. They chose Pathable’s event app — available on desktop, web mobile and as a native mobile app — to provide secure messaging, scheduling, integrated communications and a custom QR scanning solution.

Pathable implemented a single platform with private messaging, meeting scheduling, sponsor lead-capture via QR codes, automated communications and analytics; this drove significant year-on-year engagement gains. In 2014 (Pathable’s first year) the app saw >5,000 visits, 43,000 page views and ~8 minutes average visit duration for 485 attendees; by 2017 those metrics rose to >17,000 visits, nearly 215,000 page views and >10 minutes average visit duration for 849 attendees. Surveys showed 84% found the app easy to use, 70% used it to learn about sponsors, engagement and connections grew by more than 50%, and Forté reported time and cost savings — all delivered through Pathable.
