EQT scales carbon removal with Patch, backing 10x higher credit prices since 2015

EQT, a global private equity firm, sought to move beyond traditional carbon offsetting to support innovative and permanent carbon removal solutions that aligned with their progressive ESG ethos. Patch worked with EQT to create a tailored selection of credits from frontier carbon removal technologies, such as bio-oil and concrete mineralization. The solution also involved setting a budget informed by the social cost of carbon, leading to a tenfold increase in their average credit price since 2015.
