Black Girls Code engaged 230 stakeholders to build a vibrant nonprofit website with Pastilla

Black Girls Code, a nonprofit organization, came to Pastilla with the challenge of amplifying its mission to empower Black and Brown girls and gender-expansive youth in tech. The organization needed to increase its visibility and better connect its community through a revitalized online presence that reflected its core values.

Pastilla addressed this by first reimagining the brand identity through stakeholder workshops, then building a vibrant, easy-to-use website using modern, headless technology with Sanity and a React-based framework. The new site features streamlined navigation and hidden code easter eggs, making it both functional and engaging. The project was successfully launched and subsequently recognized with multiple awards, including a GDUSA Gold Award and a Halo Awards Gold Award.
