Sam Houston State University faced a growing parking crisis as enrollment rose, construction removed spaces, and an aging access system and legacy software left a small Parking Services staff unable to enforce rules or make data-driven decisions. To address limited staffing, poor equipment reliability, and lack of analytics, SHSU turned to Passport for a modern parking enforcement and payments solution that included License Plate Recognition (LPR), e-citations, gateless garage conversion, virtual permits, and multi-space pay stations.
Passport implemented fixed and mobile LPR, electronic citations and notifications, virtual permits, and gateless garage payments, enabling automated enforcement, better analytics, and easier customer payments.
