Case Study: Fort Lee Parking Authority achieves reduced congestion and efficient enforcement with Passport LPR

A Passport Case Study

Preview of the Fort Lee Parking Authority Case Study

Reducing congestion through an integrated LPR system

Fort Lee Parking Authority, serving the Borough of Fort Lee, faced chronic congestion and lost residential parking as commuters from the George Washington Bridge routinely overstayed in neighborhood spots. To address this, the Authority deployed a fully integrated, automated parking enforcement solution using Passport’s License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology to protect resident parking and streamline enforcement operations.

Passport implemented a citywide LPR enforcement system that automates plate checks and expands coverage, enabling officers to scan 400+ cars in 15 minutes. The Passport solution made enforcement much more efficient, allowed the team to cover more territory, reduced commuter overstays, and resulted in noticeably more parking availability for residents.
