GBG, a global provider of identity and location verification solutions, needed to support a regulated UK financial services firm that was scaling rapidly without adding compliance headcount. The client’s manual KYC checks were creating bottlenecks, longer time-to-decision and higher abandonment rates, so GBG sought a partner to increase Straight Through Processing (STP) and streamline onboarding.

PassFort reconfigured the firm’s KYC waterfall and integrated GBG as the primary data-check provider, increasing first-pass rates and reducing the need for secondary checks. The change delivered measurable results: on ~13,200 KYC checks per month it saved 10p per check (≈£2.9k/month, £34.8k/year), improved STP pass rate by 4.6% (about 115 more customers/month), reduced manual reviews and abandonment, and shortened time to first decision. PassFort continues quarterly reviews to further optimize performance.
