Dimagi implements Passerelle Data Rocket to accelerate state and local COVID-19 response

Dimagi, a tech company focused on digital solutions for frontline healthcare workers, faced a challenge scaling its COVID-19 response tools. Their CommCare application was deployed across various state and local health agencies, but data was intentionally siloed for security. This made it difficult for state-level officials to get a unified, real-time view of pandemic data to make informed decisions. To streamline data accessibility and reporting, Dimagi reached out to system integrator Passerelle.

Passerelle implemented its Data Rocket solution, an end-to-end data architecture leveraging Talend, Snowflake, and Tableau. This platform integrated data from CommCare's multiple sources, securely stored it in a HIPAA-compliant cloud, and provided accessible analytics. The solution enabled non-technical health officials to easily access crucial data for decision-making. As a result, Dimagi’s tools were successfully adopted by numerous states and municipalities, including Alaska, New York, and the Navajo Nation, significantly accelerating and improving their pandemic response efforts.
