Building a Future-Ready Data Ecosystem with Data Rocket

The State of Rhode Island’s Executive Office of Health and Human Services (RI EOHHS) needed a more robust and efficient data infrastructure to manage large volumes of sensitive data and support data-driven decision-making across its agencies. The state government faced challenges with performance, costly queries, and complex data-sharing processes. RI EOHHS partnered with vendor Passerelle and adopted their Data Rocket solution, built on Talend and Snowflake, to modernize its data stack.

Passerelle implemented Data Rocket to accelerate RI EOHHS's migration to the Snowflake Data Cloud. The solution replaced brittle SSIS connectors and streamlined data access management. This provided significant cost savings from reduced infrastructure management, improved data processing performance, and enhanced secure data-sharing capabilities. The modernized ecosystem has become a central reporting hub for state agencies and allows RI EOHHS to focus on analytics rather than server management.
