Sony’s direct.playstation.com needed to build an affiliate channel but had limited in-house affiliate marketing experience and resources. To launch and scale direct.playstation.com’s partner program, Sony partnered with Partnerize, using Partnerize’s partner management software plus award-winning account management to establish a structured affiliate approach and support market expansion.
Partnerize implemented a commission model focused on new-customer incrementality, a targeted partner recruitment strategy (tech content, cashback/loyalty, and closed user groups), and intensive pre-launch and optimization work. The program launched in November 2023 and delivered 435k new customer visits, significant six-figure revenue from 16 content partners, a +97% QoQ revenue uplift in Q1 2024, affiliates driving ~7% of PlayStation Direct’s UK traffic, activity across 15 EU markets and a US launch in September 2024 — all enabled by Partnerize.
