Smith-Berclair Insurance, a second‑generation, family‑owned independent agency in Memphis founded in 1966 (18 employees, ~45% commercial / 55% personal), was hampered by a 30‑year legacy agency management system that made saving documents and emails slow and inefficient despite being largely paperless.
