The customer, SurfStitch, was initially committed to using the native personalization capabilities within Salesforce Commerce Cloud and was hesitant to adopt an additional solution from the vendor Particular Audience. The challenge was to prove the superior value of Particular Audience's recommendation service to justify the extra investment.

To address this, Particular Audience implemented a series of A/B tests comparing its multi-modal recommendations directly against the Salesforce native system. The solution was conclusively validated, as Particular Audience outperformed the native platform in all four tests. The results showed a significant measurable impact, with conversion rate uplifts ranging from +59.6% to +75.1% and revenue per visitor increases between +49.1% and +69.8%.
