PM Power Products developed StaffAlerter to bring affordable, highly adaptable mass alerting to schools and other organizations that had been priced out or poorly served by traditional Mass Alert Systems. Facing expensive, inflexible premise-based solutions, PM Power Products needed a reliable, easy-to-integrate connectivity stack — so they built StaffAlerter on Particle (using the Photon and Electron devices and the Particle device cloud) to prototype quickly and support production deployments.

Using Particle, PM Power Products delivered a customizable, cloud‑managed alerting ecosystem with Wi‑Fi and cellular failover, a user web portal, and integrations for phone systems, sensors, and remote controls. Particle enabled rapid development and reliable scale, and StaffAlerter now costs roughly 5–15× less than legacy MASs while supporting use cases from active‑shooter lockdowns to refrigeration and industrial monitoring across multiple sites.
