Improving Essential Supply Chains with Data-Driven Risk Management

PFSCM, a subsidiary of JSI Research & Training Institute, Inc., delivers life-saving health products to low- and middle-income countries and needed better visibility into the temperature-sensitive cold chain shipments it manages, along with end-to-end insurance protection for goods in transit. Parsyl’s data loggers and monitoring tools, including the Trek Tab, were used to capture temperature and humidity data throughout transport and storage.

Parsyl implemented an integrated solution combining cold chain monitoring with its Global Health Risk Facility (GHRF) insurance coverage, helping PFSCM track shipments more closely and better manage risk. The results were strong: PFSCM equipped 96% of shipments with data loggers, reduced insurance claims by 97%, qualified for a lower insurance rate at renewal, and increased shipment volume by 60% while improving accountability and supply chain visibility.
