Grupo Farmasierra, a Madrid-based life sciences manufacturer of pharmaceuticals, supplements and cosmetics, needed a real-time operations management solution that could be deployed across its manufacturing value stream without disrupting existing infrastructure or regulatory compliance. To reduce process time, WIP and lead times while increasing operator engagement and meeting GMP/21 CFR Part 11 requirements, Grupo Farmasierra selected Parsec Automation’s TrakSYS™ MES.

Parsec Automation, working with certified partner ASM Soft, implemented TrakSYS™ with Electronic Batch Records, task and quality management, traceability/genealogy, ERP/LIMS/SharePoint integration and connections to scales, barcode readers and PLCs. The deployment delivered real-time visibility and data integrity, broad staff adoption with rapid training, a projected elimination of 100,000 sheets of paper per year, fewer defects, shorter lead times and lower production costs while maintaining compliance.
