IHC Hytech - Customer Case Study

IHC Hytech, part of Royal IHC and a supplier of commercial and military diving systems (such as decompression tanks and hyperbaric treatment rooms), faced inefficiencies and inconsistent documentation using generic design tools. Manual copying of symbols produced non‑uniform schematics, component details were lost, and numbering/BOM creation was done manually in spreadsheets—causing slow checks, inconsistent naming and higher risk of errors. To address this, IHC Hytech adopted HydroSym from Paro Software.

Paro Software customized HydroSym for pneumatics by creating a dedicated database that categorizes components by function and key variables (pressure, flow, connection size), links each part to its specification, and supports automatic numbering. The database was completed in two months and the tool exports BOMs as XML to IHC Hytech’s ERP, eliminating manual list creation. As a result, HydroSym sped up schematic design and decision‑making, improved uniformity and data quality, reduced typing/copying errors, and increased processing efficiency and project run time. Paro Software’s collaboration and updates made it a full partner in the solution.
