Providence Health Enhances Azure Migration with ParkMyCloud Optimization

Providence, a large health system with 51 hospitals and over 1,000 clinics, faced rising infrastructure costs and cultural resistance as it began a major Microsoft Azure migration. To address budget pressure and teach teams the cloud “pay-for-what-you-run” model, Providence evaluated ParkMyCloud and its self-service SaaS resource-scheduling solution to introduce automated on/off scheduling and delegate cost control across the organization.

ParkMyCloud was deployed as a self-service scheduling layer and used alongside education efforts to shift user behavior; Providence migrated more than 1,900 workloads to Azure in 10 months (about 3,000 workloads total footprint) and made scheduling a core practice. By adopting ParkMyCloud’s scheduling capabilities, Providence achieved more than $165,000 in direct savings while accelerating its cloud elasticity and cost-control goals.
