A ParkMobile Case Study
The City of El Paso sought to modernize its parking experience after a 2018 study found 58% of drivers were unaware of mobile payment options and the prior app had only 6,000 downloads in three years. To boost awareness, adoption, and add features like availability display and reservations, the City of El Paso switched to ParkMobile and launched the Park915 app powered by ParkMobile.
ParkMobile integrated with the city’s ~2,000 meters, verified inventory, set time limits, enabled real-time parking availability and meter time display, and added event garage reservations, plus post-launch marketing support. Since the Park915 launch in October 2019, downloads have exceeded 13,500, app usage rose from 3% to over 12% versus meters, and drivers report reduced circling/traffic congestion and greater confidence using mobile payments.
