Improving the Fan Experience with Gameday Parking

Mercedes-Benz Stadium partnered with ParkMobile in 2017 to launch a first-of-its-kind parking reservations program via parking.mercedesbenzstadium.com to improve gameday parking and the overall fan arrival experience. The challenge was to simplify access across roughly 20,000 spaces managed by seven operators, offering single-game reservations, season passes and employee lot access while reducing congestion and entry friction.

ParkMobile implemented a custom reservation website and system featuring a visual lot map, filters for price/distance/easy exit, special suite/employee codes, mobile passes, Waze real-time routing and gameday email reminders. The results speak to its impact: over 70% of attendees now reserve parking before driving, more than 310,000 reservations sold since opening in 2017, Mercedes‑Benz Stadium ranked #2 in fan arrival experience and #1 in NFL and MLS “Voice of the Fan” surveys, and the venue won the SportsTechie award.
