A ParkHub Case Study
The City of Portsmouth needed a better way to manage parking demand, reduce congestion, and improve availability for residents and visitors. To address this, the city worked with ParkHub, using its Smarking Business Intelligence (BI) solution to consolidate parking data and support more informed parking management decisions.
ParkHub helped Portsmouth launch a “Stay & Pay” pricing model that removed the three-hour limit while increasing rates for longer stays, encouraging turnover without restricting extended parking. The results included a 14% year-over-year increase in revenue per transaction across all lots and on-street parking, a 42% increase at the Foundry garage, a 26% increase at the Hanover garage, and longer average stays in both garages, all while 91% of users still left by the third hour.
