Vattenfall centralizes monitoring across 3,000 devices with Park Place Technologies

Vattenfall, one of Europe's largest generators of electricity, faced challenges due to a disjointed network monitoring environment spread across its regional operations centers. Each region used different tools, which was costly to manage and prevented a global view of the network. To address this, Vattenfall worked with vendor Park Place Technologies and its Entuity network management software to centralize its IT monitoring operations.

The solution implemented by Park Place Technologies using Entuity consolidated all monitoring tools into a centralized system, providing deeper network visibility and significantly increasing operational efficiency. The Vattenfall IT team was particularly impressed with the product's ease of use and the vendor's responsive support. The results included the successful monitoring of over 3000 devices across eight servers in multiple countries.
