A ParishSOFT Case Study
Saint Rose of Lima, a growing parish in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston serving about 2,500 families (with full parish, school and a 600‑person ECC waitlist), needed to modernize and standardize church and school management across the archdiocese’s roughly 200 parishes. The challenge was replacing legacy desktop software with a web-based system that would reduce manual data entry, support zero‑based budgeting, streamline reconciliations, and enable remote collaboration during a large archdiocesan rollout.
Saint Rose served as a proof of concept for ParishSOFT’s web-based Family Suite and Accounting (implemented in 2016), working closely with ParishSOFT and the Archdiocese. The new system reduced multi-step tasks to single steps, replaced heavy keying with batch imports, simplified bank reconciliations and budget export/import workflows, and allowed remote support of other parishes—resulting in time savings, more accurate financials, and smoother archdiocesan adoption supported by attentive implementation and ongoing service.
