Portage Township Schools, a district of 11 K-12 schools, faced a challenge with disconnected and largely manual parent/guardian communications. This was a significant issue in their diverse community where many languages were spoken, creating barriers to understanding. The district needed a unified system that could accurately translate messages to ensure they reached and were understood by all families.

The district selected the ParentSquare platform to electronically and securely synchronize all routine communications in parents’ preferred language. As a result, all district communications now take place on ParentSquare, which has provided a retained history of all messages and enabled more equitable communications across its 7,200 students who speak 20 different languages.
