A ParentSquare Case Study
Midway ISD, a school district in Texas, faced the challenge of passing an $83.5 million bond for essential but invisible infrastructure repairs. The bond was difficult to promote as it funded maintenance rather than new buildings, and a new state law required confusing ballot language that misleadingly stated it was a tax increase. To educate its diverse community and overcome these obstacles, the district turned to ParentSquare and its Community Groups feature.
Using ParentSquare's Community Groups, Midway ISD delivered targeted, multi-channel messaging to specific audience segments like fine arts fans and incoming families. This strategy allowed the district to reach voters beyond current parents, including grandparents and taxpayers. The solution was highly successful, with all three bond propositions passing with 57-59% approval. The communications team attributed over half of the bond's success directly to ParentSquare, which expanded their reach and enabled precise communication.
