Denver Botanic Gardens creates shaded Hive Café experience in October 2014 with Parasoleil

The Denver Botanic Gardens required a shade solution for its new Hive Café that would blend seamlessly with its natural surroundings near a lily pond and grove of trees. Parasoleil was selected to provide a product that could extend the experience of sitting under shade trees to a built structure.

Parasoleil’s solution utilized their Winter Branches© aluminum panels, which were direct-mounted onto a substantial wooden structure. The panels cast organic, shifting shadows on the ground and surfaces, enveloping patrons in a sheltering play of light that changes with the sun and bridges the experience to the rest of the garden.
