BayCare Mease Countryside Hospital faced the challenge of architecturally connecting a new parking garage to its main building via a pedestrian bridge. The project required a cladding solution for the bridge that would provide shade from the Florida sun while allowing for critical airflow and meeting fall prevention requirements. The hospital partnered with vendor Parasoleil to develop this specific architectural feature.

Parasoleil's solution involved customizing their standard Winter Branches© aluminum panel pattern to achieve a higher percentage of openness while maintaining its aesthetic. This approach successfully tied the architectural language together across the garage and bridge. The panels were efficiently installed prior to the bridge being craned into place. Parasoleil's product met all pattern, wind load, and installation requirements for the project.
