NEC Telecom Software Philippines (NSP), a Manila-based subsidiary of NEC Corporation, develops broadband, mobile and network solutions and prides itself on high quality. NSP’s 15-person Virtual Target Solution (VTS) team was straining under manual code reviews: senior engineers couldn’t review all code on tight schedules, many coding violations slipped through, unit and integration testing suffered, and onboarding new developers to the team’s QA practices was time-consuming.

The team adopted Parasoft C/C++test with RuleWizard to automate coding-standard checks and unit-test generation, centralizing rules and running tests overnight. As a result they cut review time and cost, shifted detection of 75–80% of errors to upstream phases, reduced average workdays from 12–15 hours to about 8, met a tight deadline, won two additional projects, and made knowledge transfer and junior-led reviews practical.
