Lufthansa Cargo AG Significantly Increases Productivity and Ensures API Integrity

Lufthansa Cargo AG, a leading air-cargo operator serving more than 500 destinations with its fleet and chartered aircraft, needed a reliable way to provide consistent shipment data across its shipping processes. To do this it implemented a central Shipment Database (SDB) with an API, and faced the challenge of thoroughly functional and load-testing those services independently of multiple front ends using a small core testing team.

Parasoft SOAtest was deployed to perform API testing, automate test-case creation, and simulate load; the team was up to speed in days and integrated regression testing into operations. Results included at least a 20% reduction in regression effort, a repeatable “ten-minute” regression suite, smoother production rollout, and a production problem rate below 0.2%, delivering higher quality and efficiency.
