Global Resort Group Accelerates Development of Interdependent Components

A global resort group needed to deploy a new, business-critical distributed system to deliver targeted offers and services across resorts and partner networks. The architecture was highly decentralized and asynchronous, with numerous contractors building interdependent components that communicated over multiple protocols (JSON, MQ, JMS, REST, SOAP, etc.), creating development deadlocks as teams waited on unavailable dependencies.

The organization used Parasoft Virtualize to host virtual assets that simulated not-yet-implemented components and supported stateful behavior and multiple protocols. Virtual assets were modeled quickly (typically in under 15 minutes and adapted to protocol changes in under five), enabling contractors to develop and test in parallel, substitute real components incrementally, and continue integration testing without interruption — eliminating deadlocks and accelerating the system rollout.
