MaibornWolff, a German software development and IT consulting company, needed a way to let employees keep using MacBooks while still accessing essential Microsoft Office apps. The IT team wanted to avoid forcing users onto Windows-only laptops and instead find a solution that would keep Macs easy to manage and productive.

Parallels Desktop Business Edition was chosen to virtualize Windows on MacBooks, with Coherence Mode letting users run Windows and macOS apps side by side without rebooting. With Parallels, MaibornWolff recommissioned its MacBooks for productive use, and today about 60% of employees use Macs with Office 365 support, with performance comparable to Windows laptops and happier Mac users.
