Data-Tech is a Tampa Bay–based managed IT services provider founded in 1996 that delivers managed IT, cloud, VOIP, disaster recovery, healthcare IT and hosting to businesses worldwide. Facing diverse client requirements across time zones, complex Windows server environments, difficulty tracking per‑customer resource consumption, and high costs/complexity with a previous Citrix platform, Data‑Tech needed a centralized, easy‑to‑use management solution.

Data‑Tech deployed Parallels Remote Application Server (RAS) to publish applications, deliver virtual desktops (VDI/RDS) and provide remote assistance from a single dashboard, supporting up to 10,000 concurrent users on Windows Server 2012. Using RAS features like app publishing, load balancing and Parallels 2X Reporting, the company simplified billing, improved issue resolution and 24/7 support, reduced costs, created new service offerings (for example delivering Microsoft Word as a hosted service) and gained confidence to scale further.
