ADN America launches one code base for iOS and Android with ParallelDevs

ADN America, a bilingual news organization, wanted to expand its mobile presence onto both iOS and Android platforms but faced the challenge of doing so with a limited budget and resources. The challenge was to design, develop, and maintain two dynamic, fast, and lightweight applications without doubling the development effort. They partnered with ParallelDevs to find a solution.

ParallelDevs implemented a solution using the Ionic framework to create a single codebase for both platforms, fed by content from the client's existing Drupal website via a GraphQL API. This hybrid approach, supported by a reusable component library from an atomic design process, allowed for efficient development and consistent user experience. The result was a fully-featured app that exceeded client expectations and is now available for download, enabling ADN America to reach its audience on both major mobile platforms.
